Kittyinva: 1923 ad for Star-Rite Electrical Necessities. What I particularly like about this ad is 1) I never knew you could rig up a small generator to a sewing machine and 2) the ladies are in perfect style for 1923. The hostess’s hair and the visitor’s hat are perfect!

“Social Hit!
Ice Box Cake rich and luscious with Baker’s Chocolate!
Look for the ‘Baker Chocolate Girl’ trade-mark on the package to get America’s finest chocolate - the quality famous since 1780. Baker’s Chocolate has extra richness which gives mellower, more luscious flavor and color. A product of General Foods.
How ‘that little Mrs. Bundy’ got to be ‘such friends’ with the banker’s wife!
I’m nervous! Mrs. ‘Banker’ Jones is coming with the club comittee that meets at my house tomorrow. They say she’s awfully stiff and snobbis
Serve that wonderful ice box cake you make, it’ll break the ice!
Well, I believe that completes our business
Don’t go, ladies, I want to give you some refreshments
I’m on a diet!
Oh my! I can’t resist that - diet or no diet! Wherever did you learn to make chocolate ice box cake with such gorgeous color… so really chocolaty!
Well, of course, only Baker’s Chocolate will do it, Mrs. Jones. It’s so much richer than any other!
I’ve enjoyed this so much! Now remember - you’re to have tea with me tomorrow and give me some more of your wonderful chocolate recipes!
Yes! You’ll like them, I know, because Baker’s Chocolate always gives grander flavor - so much more moist and tender and really rich-tasting!
The winner!
Baker’s Cocoa has the richest, most delicious flavor!
Baker’s Cocoa was the favorite recently when hundreds of women judged cocoa in a ‘blind’ test. In Hot Cocoa, Cold Milk Shake and every recipe calling for cocoa, the big majority of these women found that Baker’s Cocoa gave ‘finer flavor and color’. Baker’s Cocoa is richer. Fr generations it has been ‘America’s finest cocoa’.”

“Garden Time
Glorious sunshne - smiling skies - caressing breezes - happy summer days for tiny tots with the Toy Kraft Garden Set!
Mothers will find this unusual wheel-barrow with its attendant tools an ideal summer plaything for small children. It will provide healthy amusement and an incentive which will keep little minds constructively and safely occupied for hours at a time.
Its uniqueness of design and artistic richness of color will also be a constant source of pleasure to them.
Sturdily built to stand hard knocks and, like every ‘Toy Kraft’ toy, hand painted with highest grade enamels and lacquers that are unaffected by repeated washings.
Size of wheel-barrow; - Length 21 inches. Width 7 inches. Height 10 inches.
‘Toy-Kraft’ Toys are sold by leading toy and department stores, but if you are unable to obtain them locally, write us direct and we will see that you are supplied.
